This past Saturday I had three people (Patricia, V and J) come into my office, bent over, in pain.  There were no smiles on their faces and they were barely able to take steps or drive. They were miserable.  They came in desperate for relief and I didn't blame them.  I too, have suffered bouts of lower back pain through the years and sought chiropractic care for reprieve.

So there they were, laying in tears, on my adjusting table.  Willing to do anything I suggest.  I proceeded to do an exam, check their spines, and perform a chiropractic adjustment.  And as Patricia said, "You are magic." They were magically able to walk, stand, and smile.  The truth is that what I do is not magic.  What I do is clear up areas of subluxations (or fixations) in the spine, allowing the brain, spinal cord, and nerves to more effectively “talk” to each other.  It's pretty amazing to be part of people's healing process that helps them go from feeling excruciating pain (rating a 10/10) down to a dull ache (~6/10) in a matter of minutes. But the real magic lies in the lifestyle changes they make after leaving my chiropractic table.

Most of our practice is full of patients who come in for regular wellness care.  You read that right, our patients come in even when they are feeling great.  They are coming in when there are no complaints.  You might be thinking, "Why would any person in their right mind go seek treatment when they have no complaints?" and you're not alone in that.  However, if you choose to be proactive, instead of reactive, in your approach to life (and especially your health) that's where the magic happens.

I have been getting chiropractic check-ups and adjustments once per week for the past 10 years. I continue with that plan when I'm in pain.  I continue with that plan when I feel great.  I get adjusted when I feel tired. I get adjusted when I feel full of energy.  Why?  Am I crazy?  No, I just want to have the best possible expression of my health.  I don't want to wait until I have to crawl or be carried into my office, dying in pain.  I want to always be my best, no matter how I feel. This post is to offer you that very same opportunity.  You too can live where the magic happens and you can start by getting a spinal check-up at your local family chiropractor. If you happen to first find your way to me because of your lower back pain, I can help.  My true passion is to welcome you in when you are at your very best.  You no longer have to wait for a problem to make yourself better!
