As a leading chiropractor in Plantation, Dr. Gena Chiropractic hears its fair share of pain-related complaints. We are in the business of helping people of all ages feel their best, after all.

But after so many years of providing family chiropractic care in the Fort Lauderdale area, it has become clear that there are certain aches and pains, and questions about it all that plague so many of us. Dr. Gena Chiropractic has helped everyone, from newborns on up to the elderly, remove interferences that result in pain. From the baby with colic to the pregnant Mama with lower back pain, we’ve made it our business to help you feel great.

We are also in the business to keep you engaged on all things chiropractic. Knowledge is power, and we want to ensure that our Dr. Gena Chiropractic family is up to speed on how we are working to help everyone live their best and healthiest lives.

Here are the top three complaints most chiropractors hear:

1. I want to see a chiropractor for my neck pain but don’t want to have to keep going forever.

Neck pain, back pain, sciatica and all of the rest are troublesome issues for so many. Visiting a chiropractor regularly over time isn’t a bad thing, however! The truth is, if you understood why you were going in the first place, then you'd never want to stop! Chiropractic does wonders for helping people with all sorts of complaints: neck pain, back pain, sciatica, headaches, etc. But the way in which it works is by removing interferences to the nervous system. This is what makes it more about general wellness, improved overall health and therefore a key piece in living a healthy lifestyle. For most people in pain, it's the missing link. Think of it like going to the gym – do you only go until you’re in shape and then stop forever? No way! You know it takes a certain level of maintenance to keep yourself in check.  Chiropractic helps people express their maximum health potential, not only when their body is having symptoms or is in crisis mode.

2. I have some pain but just need a quick fix.

Many new patient calls start with the following, “Hi! I’m suffering from pain but can only come in once – can you offer a quick fix?”

I get it, we’re all leading very busy lives and would feel so much better with a quick fix. A quick fix can only be found in a pill bottle, however – but could never treat the cause from the root of the problem. By going to the chiropractor, you're working to correct and fix the underlying cause of the problem, and for that to happen, it's a process that takes time. We all know that achieving results is a process that takes repetition and repetition over time! It is unfair to expect an immediate result. You work at your job repeatedly over time to make money. You water the plants in your garden every single day to get the best results. Anything worth having takes a little work – and doesn’t your health deserve that?

3. Help – I’m constipated. Will chiropractic care help?

Here’s a question we never get tired of! Chiropractic care for constipation may seem odd, but once you’ve tried it, you’d see why some people swear by it to help things run more, um, smoothly – pun intended. This is because chiropractic adjustments remove interferences in the body's nervous system that are causing said constipation. Many times, especially in the case of digestion woes, there is a disconnect in the signals traveling to the nerves going to the colon/large intestine. These are often due to chemical stresses (foods, drinks and drugs - both prescription and over the counter), emotional stresses and/or physical stresses. We address each of these components with our patients and adjust them (often coupled with lifestyle recommendations and/or supplements) and they get great results! We often see/hear babies have a bowel movement (poop) as soon as we finish working with them in the office.

For any of your other chiropractic care questions – we’re here and happy to help! Because your health is in your hands, but Dr. Gena’s hands are here to help!
